Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

We collect only the data needed to provide and improve the Service:

• Account data. Your email address, used to authenticate you and secure your account.
• Profile & onboarding data.Your nickname, university (or other institution), year of study, target position and mapped vertical (Investment Banking, Private Equity, Sales & Trading or Real Estate), next milestone, a motivation score and how you heard about us. Most of these fields are optional.
• Practice activity. The questions you answer, your selected answers, whether they were correct, the practice context (onboarding test, interview challenge or exercise) and timestamps. This powers your statistics, weak-spot detection and mistake review.
• Subscription data. Your subscription status, plan and renewal date, mirrored from the app store via our payments provider. We never receive or store your full card or payment details.
• Consent records. Whether you opted in to marketing communications, and the versions of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted, with timestamps.
• Usage & device analytics. Privacy-respecting product analytics about how the Service is used (such as screens viewed and features used) and basic technical data (such as device type and app version).

2. How we use your data

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To personalize your preparation and generate your statistics and mistake review.
• To manage subscriptions, trials and entitlements.
• To maintain, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.
• To send marketing communications, only where you have explicitly opted in.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you sign up for, including practice, statistics and subscriptions.
• Consent — for marketing communications and any non-essential analytics, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Legitimate interests — to secure, maintain and improve the Service, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.

4. Service providers

We share data with a small number of processors who handle it on our behalf under appropriate data protection agreements:

• Supabase — authentication and database storage of your account, profile and practice data.
• RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
• PostHog — privacy-respecting product analytics.
• Apple App Store & Google Play — payment processing and subscription billing. Your payment is handled entirely by the relevant store under its own privacy policy.

Some providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is removed (see below). We may retain limited records where required by law, for example to evidence consent or for accounting and tax purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@altairfellowship.com.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app. This permanently removes your profile, practice history, consent records and entitlements. Deletion cannot be undone.

8. Children

The Service is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under this age. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
